The Horary Course
I have been taught by the very best and I wish in my turn to spread the knowledge of traditional Horary Astrology. This course is challenging: its purpose is to bring a true understanding of this craft and guide the student step by step to an independent knowledge and the ability to judge charts on a wide variety of different subjects. It is exciting and fun, as only learning new things can be.
The burning, immediate questions – where’s the wallet, if your boyfriend really loves you, or if you will get the job – cannot be answered by your natal chart but only through Horary.
Syllabus:
The reading material demanded is ‘The Horary Textbook’ by John Frawley. You will be set different chapters to read for each lesson.
The course is presented in 12 lessons. These are divided into two parts: in lessons 1-4 you will learn the basic rules of Horary; starting from the 5th lesson you will be introduced to the judgement of charts. Nevertheless, you will not stop learning until the end of course and, as you will see, even after.
The course is done by email, and as questions arise from the your part, my answers will gradually build your understanding. The lessons will be sent one by one; you will pass on to the next only when you have mastered the material of the previous one. It is possible to fail the course without completion if the student’s work is repeatedly below standard.
- Lesson 1: The nature of the planets.
- Lesson 2: Understanding the houses, turning the chart. The signs and their divisions.
- Lesson 3: Movement of the planets, reading the ephemeris. The aspects and perfection of an aspect. The separating aspect: ‘Did they meet each other?’ The applying aspect: ‘Is she going out with me tonight?’
- Lesson 4: Dignity and Reception of the planets. Being in one’s own house, a friend’s house – or in the enemy’s house. ‘He loves me; he loves me not’.
- Lesson 5: The importance of antiscia. Calculation of antiscia and of Arabian parts. Fixed stars. Timing: ‘When is this going to happen?’ The first chart.
- Lesson 6: 7th-house questions, part one: relationships. ‘Is he going to marry me?’, ‘Is this the end of our relationship?’
- Lesson 7: 7th-house questions, part two: contests and legal affairs; choices. ‘Will we win?’ ‘Should I or shouldn’t I?’
- Lesson 8: 2nd-house questions: lost objects and how to retrieve them.
- Lesson 9: 4th and 10th-house questions: property and jobs. ‘Will I sell the cottage?’ ‘Will they hire me?’
- Lesson 10: 5th-house questions: pregnancy. ‘Will I get pregnant?’; 8th-house questions: death. ‘When will my sick aunt die?’ Medical questions.
- Lesson 11: 3rd and 9th-house questions. ‘Is this rumor true?’ ‘Will I pass this exam?’ 12th-house questions: ‘Am I bewitched?’ Miscellaneous matters: questions on the weather; dealing with clients. Electing with Horary.
- Lesson 12: Your masterpiece: predicting an event before it happens, a chart judged by you where you will put into practice your knowledge and understanding of the Art.
FAQ:
How long does the course take?
Students work at their own pace. Depending on the time you invest in it, the course can take several months to two years of study.
Do I need to have an astrology background to enroll?
No, you don’t: you will learn everything that is necessary within this course. Modern astrology differs considerably from traditional, so even those with knowledge of modern methods will be learning many things from scratch.
I already know some astrology. Do I need to take the whole course?
The great Master of Astrology, William Lilly called himself a student of Astrology. Even at his level he still considered himself in need of learning. This course is like learning the alphabet: we must start from A and end with Z. Only in that way will you gain the ability to give an accurate chart reading.
Fees:
The cost of the course is 1500$usd. This can be paid in full or in four installments of 450$usd each. The first installment is due at the beginning at the course and the next after the 3rd, 6th and 9th lessons. Payments can be made by PayPal or by bank transfer.
