Should I get back home?

Question: Should I get back home? Asc 8Leo44, 1:50pm, 30 March 2019, Montréal, Québec.

The client had traveled to a foreign country far from home on an expensive holiday. At the end of this he was due to attend a conference connected to his job. But just a couple of days after arriving at his destination he received a phone-call in the middle of the night: the IT system for which he was responsible at work had been brought down by ransomware. Weighing up this disaster, he was considering returning home to help restore the situation. So he asked the question, ‘Should I get back home?’

The client is signified by the ruler of the 1st house, the Sun.

His emotions are signified by the Moon. His job is shown by the ruler of the 10th house, which is Mars.

The trip he is on is shown by the ruler of the 9th house, Jupiter.

Mars is in its detriment, which well illustrates the bad situation at work. But there is a positive indication: Mars will change sign in less than half a degree. It leaves its detriment, so the job situation will soon improve.

His main significator, the Sun, makes no aspect with Mars, nor will the Moon aspect Mars before Mars changes sign. No contact between him and the job before the job’s condition improves, so his intervention is not needed.

I told the client there was no necessity for him to get back, as things would quickly improve in the meantime. Given the distance he needed to travel, he would have been going back for nothing, because the situation would have improved by the time he got there. The client took my advice, worked remotely with his colleagues back in the office, and a couple of days later the system was restored.
